It’s been two weeks but I still find difficulties to remember all the names of friends I’m sharing an afternoon class with every Tuesday. Not only do I feel that some of the names are way too unique, but I also think that my brain capacity couldn’t possibly remember all these names in a span of two weeks as I have to remember all the names of friends outside of EWS class as well (I don’t want others to feel so easily forgotten when I meet them again especially if they remember my name, but please pardon my poor brain memory, it’s been working so hard. Thank you so much for your understanding.)
But, surprise! Today I’m planning on sparing my time and actually giving my utmost effort to remember the names! Hooray! It’s partly because I don’t know what to comment anymore on this blog and I guess responding to this article won’t give me a headache. I also want to be able to get along well and get to know each other better, so remembering names is a basic I couldn’t leave out. People would feel more valued and respected when someone remembers their name. When you remember it, it shows your interest in and respect for that individual. That’s why it’s important to remember someone’s name, especially the ones you’re going to share an afternoon class with every week for approximately one semester. That’s it. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
In my life I went to many cities in Indonesia with my family because my father work. Most of the time I moved to another city around every one to two year. Every time I moved to new city I also moved to new school. So basically, I always became the new student through out my 9 years of school. I met many people from many places that have different culture. But there is some similarity from one school to other school, even some in collage. The most obvious similarity is most student is “lazy” to sit in the front row and most likely will choose seat on the second row or where their good friend is. I use word lazy between quote because when I ask them why they answered lazy. Talking about friend I have problem when it comes of remembering name even when in the same class. So, for my classmate I will say sorry in the front because I will for get your name a lot. Last, do I really look like that?
Warm greetings fellow classmates, I am one of you, the Tuesday class (or the perfect class as Mr Adrian likes to call it). I am the short haired guy in the white shirt wearing glasses. I really hope that I know most of you personally by this time of the semester (almost the twelfth week). Of course, I already know all of you because Mr Adrian’s way of educating us made me collaborate with each and every one of you. As of today, the 13th of November, I am the “worst student” in this class (even in the whole EWS 18 class) as my name is coloured red on Mr Adrian’s bad student detector. I find it hard to fight my laziness and as a result I have the least number comments in the EWS 2018 blog, even though I really enjoy the EWS class. I really hope that we could all remember the lessons Mr Adrian gave us and that we could apply it in our daily life.
