In my opinion, a vegetarian McDonald is a great idea because it would be more environmentally friendly, and would not contribute to climate change, deforestation, animal abuse, obesity, and the continuous consumption of our ever-dwindling resources.Well there is a good argument from the opposition which bring out valid points such as the food "not being fresh", or that there are tastier, cheaper options out there, or that being a healthy vegetarian restaurant completely contradicts McDonald's reputation as an unhealthy, fast-food chain. But a healthy, vegetarian McDonald could start and/or promote a trend of healthy fast food, and with issues such as world hunger, obesity, climate change, and the destruction of natural habitat to make room for the beef industry, a healthy environmentally friendly alternative could be what the world needs. Sure it might not be the first choice if you live in a country like say, India, where a vegetarian community already created a cheap, healthy, environmentally friendly dietary habit, but in other countries where meat consumption is high, or its hard to be vegetarian, a fast-food chain that serves a good supply of healthy alternatives could prove life changing.

  1. I do not know who wrote this, but i am pretty sure he/she has a unique way of thinking. What a smart person considering someone who could think about McDonald version of healthy restaurant.
Although this is a very good idea, but the main problem here is the society as known as the consumer itself. Do not get me wrong, there are some people who already have a healthy diet lifestyle. They could be the loyal costumer of this kind of restaurant. But, is the amount of those people will provide enough profit for continuing the business? It will be hard at the beginning of the business, because we need to transform the current society’s concept of diet to become the healthy one. We will need a lot of time and effort for changing current mindset to the point where a lot of people have a healthy lifestyle especially with their diet. But hey, after all of those obstacles i think it will be a very good idea of business!
