HAPPY AND SAD
Three women stand together, each one wearing a swimsuit. Two of the women are sad and one is happy. Both the sad women are smiling, and the happy one is crying. Why?
THE BRICK
A man was found lying in the street by police. He was unconscious, with a brick beside him. Nobody had thrown the brick, nor had it dropped from above. In fact, the brick belonged to the man. What had happened?
THE PHONE RINGS
Eight men were sitting around a boardroom table. Another man with a gun was standing by the door. The atmosphere was silent and tense. Suddenly the phone rang. At that moment, one of the eight men ran to the window and jumped out head first. Can you explain?

This kind of article is just interesting for me. I like to think and I often overthink, but a riddle like this (is this a riddle?) is just fascinating for me. Please discuss the answers later in the class Sir. I am so curious about this one. I googled the last one but I just could not find one. About "The Brick", I am just guessing but maybe the man was sleeping and he was using a brick as his pillow? Just like how some people use hard wood as their pillows. But I am not sure about this. And the last one, maybe the man was feeling so nervous that he thought the phone sound was an alarm? Maybe he thought that there was a fire in the building/room? I am not sure about this one too. And about the first question, I got the answer from Google. Sorry Sir but I just can not handle my curiosity.
ReplyDeleteFor the first puzzle, i have a feeling that they are in some sort of competition, maybe swimming competition. The first woman is crying because she’s happy of becoming the winner, that explained why there is only one woman crying. While the other two are smiling because they lose the competition, and losers tend to smile to hide their sadness. For the second puzzle, i feel like the man is actually a homeless, because no one would actually lay down in the street “unconscious” except they have no place to live. And for the brick, i guess its just some sort of “pillow” for him to sleep. For the last one, i’m not really sure about this, but i guess these people are in some sort of interrogation towards one man who’s suspected for crime. And when a phone ring, the man that is being interrogated see this as an opportunity to commit suicide.
ReplyDeleteFor the first riddle, I would say that it might have something to do with a competition where the happy woman was crying with tears of joy and the other two women were just putting up fronts, trying to be happy for the winner and all in front of the audience, but it could also be that they were in a sports store where the happy woman got the swimsuit she wanted while the others had the swimsuit they wanted taken by the happy woman. For the second riddle, it could’ve just been that the person was a hobo, sleeping on the streets with a brick as a pillow but didn’t find it as comfortable since there were no details about bloodshed, so I wouldn’t think of it that a crime happened. For the third riddle, the logical explanation to me would be, of course, one of the eight men wanted to run away so he wouldn’t be shot dead by the man by the door, but I have no idea what was going on because my brain can’t think properly this early in the morning.
