  1. For those of you that aren't in the mood to check out the website, the sarcastically entitled blog "good news from nigeria" is simply a compilation of scam e-mail messages. Up until now, the blog had compiled among dozens of entries. If you hadn't known, the title of the blog itself is some kind of an ironic mockery. Most of the time the scams are introduced with good news, offering us the chance to receive free money, hence why the word "good news" is used. The term Nigeria is a literal one, because most of these scammers claim to be a person from Nigeria. Another thing I noticed from this "scamming" topic, most of the time the scammers are usually from the continent of Africa and from the country of India, it sounds stereotypic but it’s true. I suppose the website has a good purpose, it spreads awareness to people that might be new to the Internet, or people that had never knew how a scam runs down.

  2. After reading the comments from the website, I can conclude that the website is filled with a collection of spam. These spams range from asking for a fund for medical purposes to a princess from Nigeria asking the receiver to take care of her investment. What surprises me was that most of the spams seem to share a similarity. The commonality most of the spam letters shared are, they are sent by someone who is from an African country, like Nigeria. I don’t understand why people keep choosing the country Nigeria, although the country itself is often known for doing such scam, as the background information while there many countries around the world that also have a high rate of scam. Nonetheless, scamming through spam letter proved to be a very cheap way of scamming someone. In the 21st century, I think it’s clear that most of the people in this world already know scamming through spam letter is not an effective way to scam someone because it happens regularly. Because this type of scam usually happens, many people no longer regard this as a scam but a simple joke. In my opinion, I think this type of scam proved to be an ineffective scam because people already know the motives of spam letters scammers.
