When I read the fact about how the U.S spent $60,000 on training a dog to be part of the Navy Seal, I was really shocked. I wouldn’t think that it will cost that much for training a dog to be in the army. But after thinking for a while, I guess it’s possible since it’s for the Navy Seal. I mean the Navy Seal is highly reputable for keeping the U.S safe from terrorism so no wonder they spend that much money to train a dog.
ReplyDeleteAnother fact that I found interesting was that Facebook remembers all the device you’ve ever used to log in, and who else had used that same device. This proved to be a sort of shocking for me because it’s like the other issue of the data leak scandal. This fact also made me want to delete my Facebook account because it’s violating my privacy rights. Because of the emerging privacy issue regarding Facebook, I started to become a more skeptical person regarding social media. This is why I rarely post anything on social media, like Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat due to the emerging privacy scandal.
- Getting married increases the risk of putting on weight. Yes, yes and yes!! I have seen it with friends and family members and the reason is because you are already with someone that supposes to love you no matter what, you stop worrying too much about appearance and start to eating more. Another reason is because, maintaining a diet can be challenging if the other person is not interested in being fit, which is most of the cases.
ReplyDelete- Facebook remembers all the devices you’ve ever used to log in, and who else has used that device. Indeed, you will get scared of all the other information Facebook can get from you. For example, Facebook can recognise your face, knows every place you have been and event you have assisted. They even have a list of every company that has my contact information from the ads I've clicked and a copy of my timeline going back to the time I joined
“Facebook remembers all the device you’ve ever used to log in and who else has used that same device.”
ReplyDeleteI’m still shocked by this fact even though I knew that we’ve been “spied” by every single social media platform that we’ve used. In this globalization era, we need to be careful for every act that we do on the internet because I believe that there is some kind of an organization who always watch our activity on the Internet. NSA, FBI, CIA or maybe MI6? Who knows. All I know is that we need teach people about the attitude of how to use internet properly and the manner when using the internet. Maybe its is quite interesting if we can actually see the statistics and data of how our friends and people do on the internet. I assume that maybe when we’re dead, we can see the statistics of every people that ever lived on earth provided by the Almighty God and his servant. Maybe there are nomination for someone who has the most numbers of making out or how much is the percentage of people who tap and go since the first time FEB use fingerprint methods. I hope the afterlife is as interesting as I imagined.
I find this compilation of relatively random fact to be extremely interesting. I have been fond of facts that are interesting and unexpected. One fact which I find interesting is that ‘one in six phones in Britain are contaminated by human excrement. I wonder how are they being contaminated: do people dip their phone in the toilet or do they just not wash their hands after going to the toilet? I suppose it is the randomness that intrigues me. Another one that catches my interest is the fact that singing sparrows are trading insult: does scientist actually caught them cursing to one another or do they just look incredibly offensive. But the ultimate fact in the pile according to myself is that Letters addressed to Kabul include directions - there are few street names and numbers, and no postcodes. I am awed that people are still sending letters to Kabul, I have much respect for the brave soul who still read directions in order to deliver letters in the midst of a conflict.
ReplyDelete“Bald people grow the wrong type of hair - so fine it’s invisible to the naked eye”. I wonder if this is actually a fact or just a lip service for bald people for not feeling so bad about themselves, but still, I found this interesting, and I would love to know about how one’s hair turn invisible to the naked eye. Old people will grow white hair instead of black one because of, well, old age and if people say old people lose the color of their hair, well they’ll be wrong, maybe. Well, if this is true, then old people need not worry that they “lose” their hair color, because they’re simply changing! It’s bald people who should worry about actually losing their color that their hair turns transparent, but doesn’t it sound great to have “a hair so fine not even they eyes of an ordinary human can see them” or to be pronounced as “men blessed with a hair finer than silk - so fine it is invisible”, because they sound like those lines in Lord of The Rings when someone talk about the Elves.
ReplyDeleteIt is shocking to know that Apple has more money than the US government. Apple has expanded from a garage of a genius named Steve Jobs into one of the biggest tech corporation in the world. So many people all around the world using Apple product which is considered more expensive than its competitor like Samsung and Sony. It is no surprise that Apple to have a large sum of money but to have it surpassed the sum of cash owned by US government is still unexpected for me.
ReplyDeleteHalf of Britons have German blood and it is true. Britain was originally inhabited by Celts people and the Scots and Irish is the descendant of the Celts people. Meanwhile, the English part of Britain was inhabited by German people migrated from a region in Germany named Saxony. There was also other culture that existed in Britain like Romans, Welsh, Norman, and Vikings. I think this explain why there are so many accents in Britain.
If you don’t know what to do, you can check those mind-blowing facts rather than sleeping or doing nothing at all. We all must have a free time in a day for few seconds, minutes, or even hours no matter how busy you are. You can choose to do nothing for the whole day. But, what will you get from doing nothing while there are a lot of people out there who do many things and gain many things? The world is getting wilder each day. The competition is getting tighter. You knowledge and what you know determine you life and your future. Reading this article might be considered as unimportant for some people. There is something you should know. There will be some people how have a free time in their day and they will be ready to spend their free time wisely by reading this article. After reading this article, they will be equipped with interesting facts and knowledges that less people know it and they will be ready for the competition in this wild world.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading some of this fact, i wasn’t that shocked with the facts provided. All of us know that India fills 1/6 of total population of the world. India is a very large country, also with a high birthrate. India’s capital, New Delhi, is overpopulated because of this. The next common fact is about the good cop and bad cop. People rather confess when they are treated well. Treating people badly and using violence only makes them stressed out and in the end, they whether tells the wrong thing due to confusion, or even didn’t tell anything at all. I personally agree with the fact that states “people with full bladder make better decisions” because i feel like it’s true. With their full bladder, we tend to hurry things up, and probably make faster decisions without thinking of the other choices. The one that shocked and made me laugh was the US spent $60k only for training their Navy Seal dog. Navy SEALs are known for their actions in the military history, and their dogs are also well trained, but in my opinion, it doesn’t make any sense to spent $60,000 only to train one dog.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that is interesting for me is, that seat belts are banned on some road. Why on earth, that the most important safety feature inside the car, besides the air bags, are banned on some road, this does not make any sense for me, I even went on to the internet to look for the reasons to satisfy my curiosity. The other fact that amaze me, is that Apple has more cash than the US government, in my opinion, this suggest that Apple is a very successful company, and that there are a few doubts regarding the US government’s economy. The other facts that is interesting for me, is that the US military spend $60.000 to train a Navy Seal dog. This shows how elite and dedicated the Navy Seals are in training their dogs for the purpose of their important military operations. The thing that I do not get is, how does fish walk?
ReplyDeleteWith these facts I learned that French police are currently allowed 25cl of wine or a small beer with their lunch while on duty. I have to say that I am not really surprised about this. I think that can be explained because, in France, the maximum amount of alcohol allowed in the blood to drive is 0.5 gram per liter which represents about two glasses of alcohol. As driving is important in a policeman job, as long as the police don’t drink more than what they are allowed to drink to still be able to drive, I think it is normal. Moreover, in France it is normal to drink wine during lunch in almost every job. For example, in my high school cafeteria, there was wine available for the teachers. In my opinion, as long as the alcohol consumption doesn’t alter someone’s capacity to perform their job, there is no reason to forbid it.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, this is one of the most interesting article posted on this blog so far. The way it gave so much factual information in such a short article amuses me. Some of the facts written in the article are informational, funny, and some are just downright creepy. One of the fact that caught my eye is the fact that Facebook knows more than you think. In the growth of technology the first thing that come to our mind is safety and privacy. This scares me a bit, because Facebook knows a lot of information such as where our faces, we work or study, and so on. The other thing that I found interesting is the fact that bald people grow the wrong type of hair. I am a bit skeptical towards this fact ,but based on what I know bald people tended to grow better facial hair than those who have hair.
